Philippos II of Macedon, was the king of the Macedonia from 359 BC until 336 BC. Within this period, State of Macedonia took them to advanced next level. Philippos II who revolutionized the army of Macedonia. He increased the army size from 10.000 to 24.000 and the cavalry from 600 to 3.500. Afterwards, the king conquered neighboring territories and put down revolts. Philippos II, was murdered in 336 BC, at Aegae. The aim of the study is to determine the impacts of Philippos II on advance of Macedonia. In this study, after it was informed about Philippos’s life, it was also mentioned about his army and his wars, his marriages, Korinthos Agreement. At the end of the article, the study was summerized with the result of assessment.
