Abstract

Besides the developments in military in the Iron Age,there was a dynamism among the Central Asia steppe tribes,as a result of confusion that resulted from struggles breaking out because of the severe drought. After this dynamism, the Massageteans dislocated the Scythians, and the Scythians dislocated the Cimmerians. As a result of these locations, firstly Cimmerian components, secondly Scythian components drew into Anatolia by using natural sources and they went towards firstly East Anatolia ,then Central Anatolia and then West Anatolia. When we look at the Anatolian's political structure in terms of BC 8th and 7th centuries,it was a matter of dominance of Urartu in Eastern, Phrygians in Central Anatolia and Lydia in West Anatolia.Meanwhile, Aegean coasts were located by Greek colonies. The components of the Cimmerians and the Scythians caused the change of this balance of political power. Therefore, the change of the dominance areas caused several changes in commercıal life in Anatolia. Indeed, the new political power balance supported the commercial based economic structure and gave a new acceleration to economic activities between east and west and also to the acculturation.
