The Genghis Khan's Mongol invasion which occurred at the beginning of 13th century is an event concerning the entire world. Even since the era of Genghis Khan, many expeditions have been launched to the west many times. Although the target of these expeditions which are realized with the Mongol’s mentality of world dominance was Kharzem Shah Sate at the beginning, invasions gained importance when wealth of Islam world was seen. Until the era of Mengü Khan, lack of an entire dominance of Mongol and the complaints about Ismailis and Abbasid State forced him to send the Mongol’s prince (sultan’s son), Hulagu, to the west with broad authority. These expeditions to the west by Mongols are the milestones of Turkish history, because a lot of Turkmenians who run away during western expeditions of Mongols have played a major role in Turkification of Anatolia by coming to Anatolia.
