There are aliment and reciprocal relations between language and culture. The importance of culture transfer in teaching Turkish as a foreign language is on the increase day by day and it is observed that the number of studies about this subject is increasing. In this study about culture transfer in teaching Turkish as a foreign language, the views of teachers teaching Turkish to Syrian Refugees regarding Turkish culture transfer/ teaching were taken and evaluations were made with the obtained data. 10 participants who are teaching Turkish to Syrian refugees and living in tent city region in Adıyaman. The data were obtained by semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher. While preparing the interview form, it was submitted for experts’ information, the interview form was put into the final form in accordance with the views and suggestions of domain experts. There are six questions in the interview form. The views of participants regarding the questions in the form were recorded, computerized and content analysis method was used to interpret the obtained data. Every teacher who are teaching Turkish to Syrian Arabs and participating the study voluntarily was given a code and participants were coded with the letter “K” and a number and the views of teachers were evaluated. According to the outcomes of the research, teachers opined that culture transfer has an important function at teaching Turkish as a foreign language, the texted used are partially enough at Turkish culture transfer, the use of visual elements increase the motivation. The data obtained at the end of the study were negotiated similar research outcomes and suggestions related to the subject have been developed.
