The schools in the manner of western standards were started to be established as the roots of present universities and faculties. One of the schools such as Agricultural Academy, Telegraph School, Mining School which were established to raise technical staff, is Academy of Forestry the base of present Forestry Faculty of Istanbul University. The opening process of this academy follows a similar route with other technical schools. In this essay we will examine the Forestry Academy one of the technical schools which were established at Tanzimat era from its establishment at 1857 to the time when the Academy gained an instated form at 1871 by using the documents from Ottoman Archive.},author={-A.Fatih Şendil,},year={2015},journal={Cappadocia Journal of History and Social Sciences}}
