Abstract
Human health and the effort to continue it have had an important place in the life of individual and of social from the ancient times. The appearance of the science of medicine and the studies in this area and its development had yielded its results as a result of the long-terms studies, and grew ripe. At the beginning of the ancient time, health institutions were not the ones designed as today's fully-equipped hospitals. On the contrary, they were insufficient and unsatisfying institutions. Therefore, health care services and diagnosis and treatment opportunities were insufficient and at a level far from scientificness. However, there began to see a great development in the aforesaid ares, when it came to the ancient times, with the velocity in science of medicine. Especially, these developments came to a marked improvement in the prosperous capitals and metropolises which grew in respect of population potential and the civilization level. Concordantly, the number of qualified physicians and of healthcare professionals increased in the metropolises. It is possible to see that positive scene in Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greek, Ancient India, Ancient Persia and Ancient China.
