The Middle Ages is an era of change. In every civilization, this change is observed differently. These changes, together with the mystery of this age, have led to innovations and the formation of a wide variety of Renaissance periods. Thus, Otto I and his successors and grandchildren, Otto II and Otto III, were the transition periods between the Carolingian and the Romanesque art, and were also called the Otto Renaissance because of the improvements in his art.One of these Renaissance periods is the Otto Renaissance. Renaissance means rebirth as word meaning. So every Renaissance in the Middle Ages was a rebirth for Europe. The Renaissance of the Otto period includes the innovations made on the way to the Renaissance of the 12th century after the Carolingian Renaissance.
