Abstract

Dede Korkut, one of the most beautiful and important works of Turkish language, has been known for almost a century. After the discovery of the copy of Dresden at the beginning of the twentieth century, many researches and studies were conducted on these epic stories. Dede Korkut stories are an example of a moving expression with verses and prose. These stories, which were a national epic, were imbued by the poets of the 20th century. One of these poets is Bulud Karaçorlu Sehend. In this paper, the combined verbs of the Deli Dumrul Story are examined. In this study, Dede Korkut Stories, M. Ergin's Dede Korkut Book-I, “Duha Koca Oğlı Delü Dumrul Boyını Beyan İder Hanum Hey” with the text of the story of Sehend'in Dedem Qorqud’un Dilinden Sazımın Sözü-I’deki “Duha Qoca Oğlu Deli Domrul” met poetry text. The use of compound verbs in these two texts was evaluated. In this context, one of the unified words, the combined verbs, consists of a name and an auxiliary act, two separate verb forms, or the combination of one or more words with the name noble and the actual verb. The use and variety of compound verbs in the texts discussed were compared and classified.
