Abstract

For centuries, there has been no consensus on the role served on earth by Genghis Khan, who was not a party to the Abrahamic religious that had followers in the surrounding regions. On the other hand, the resulting success story shows that Genghis Khan and Mongolians acted based on an ideal although there was no strong religious motive in the background. While it is difficult to determine whether or not this ideal that was followed was certainly determined by an authority endowed by God, this study discusses some main problems of Mongolian historiography around two interesting questions.
