Abstract

Abstract

In most researches conducted from the second quarter of the 20th century to the present day, it is observed that there is an interaction, change and transformation in all organizations and organizations that focus on the individual and in which the individual is active. This transformation and change process has also influenced organizational management styles, especially leadership approaches. However, instead of the model of leadership that is being serviced and served in accordance with its interests and objectives, maximum obedience and service to today and to itself; A servant leadership model has developed that provides guidance and service to its followers, unites them for common purpose, values them and offers opportunities and sees these characteristics as a way of life. Especially in today's rapidly developing competitive environment, organizations, organizations' effective use of resources, with employees to achieve high efficiency, performance and motivation has become quite difficult. In realizing these basic elements; The servant leadership model appears to be a remarkable leadership model in organizational management. Servant leadership, although other important leadership models are transformational, charismatic, interactive, paternalistic and authentic leadership; the development, growth and upbringing of followers / subordinates, and a special focus on their needs and aspirations differ in terms of establishing corporate culture. The aim of this study is; examine the effect of servant leadership style perceived by subordinates of managers on self-efficacy and collective competence of subordinates.
