Abstract

Erzincan has always been a region where people can not give up on themselves as a settlement both in the early ages and in the middle ages. Erzincan, which has a habit of living in terms of both hemispheric conditions and climatic conditions according to the other settlements around it, has offered a suitable living space for the primitive man who has the instinct of self-protection and self-protection. In the Middle Ages, when negative conditions and human and material and spiritual hegemony are beginning to emerge, Erzincan has developed from social, cultural and economic care, and has always been a center of attraction for people. Undoubtedly, the most important factors in her being a center of attraction are the fertile land, the favorable climate, the terrible rapture that flows through the middle and the transit trade route. With these characteristics, Erzincan has always influenced the people who live on it and revealed a unique civilization during the mentioned historical periods. In this work, we will try to get a sense of the transformation of Erzincan's unique civilization in socio-economic and cultural aspects in the context of ancient and medieval.
